How do I install the TAPI- driver?

The TAPI- driver always comes from the manufacturer of the device (telephone, telephone system, ISDN-card, softphone or e.g. FRITZ!Box). Use the CD supplied with the device, the manufacturer's homepage or our collection at http://www.tapicall.de/tapi-treiber/index.htm. If a connection is made via USB, it is usually necessary to first a USB- driver and then the actual TAPI- driver must be installed. After installation, you should restart your computer. The TAPI- driver must then be displayed in TAPICall and selected by you.

If this is not immediately the case, exit TAPICall, call up the [control panel], select [phone- and modem] (if this item does not appear, please switch to [small icons] on the top right), go to the [advanced] tab. Here you configure your driver (if it does not appear, click on [Add]). This process turns a pure TAPI-provider into one or more TAPI-devices (e.g. extension 11, 12, 13 and 14). The PC must be restarted and the device will then be displayed in TAPICall.
