I have two problems at once. I am currently using a Fritz!box 7590 with 3 telephones via DECT. Plus Outlook and Tapicall. Making calls via Tapicall works so far. However, unlike before, I can no longer dial from Outlook because it says no phone service installed. (In the Tapicall settings I have set Tapi as default). What else do I have to change?
And furthermore, when I was still using an Auerswald, my phone rang when I made an outgoing call. I then picked up and the partner was dialled. Now, with DECT, my phone no longer rings and I have to press and hold the answer button. The partner is called directly. I find that terrible. Is there a way to restore the old status?

Hello,
Unfortunately, it is not possible to use the call function integrated in Outlook with the FRITZ!Box connection, as no TAPI driver is installed and therefore no TAPI line can be selected. You can start calls via the „Search / Call-Preparation“ window of TAPICall (callable via“F8″ (Standard Assignment)).
AVM discontinued TAPI support some time ago and therefore there is no longer a TAPI driver for the FRITZ! Our FRITZ!Box connection is a work around, i.e. no actual TAPI connection.
IP telephones are a functional and convenient alternative. In particular SNOM telephones, which you can also find in our webshop. For SNOM telephones there is a TAPI driver and these phones can be conveniently operated with the FRITZ! You can also connect a headset, for example a Jabra, to aSNOM so that you have both hands free to work while you make calls.

I have one more question. With the current setting, the Outlook- window opens on all three computers when I make a call. Can I switch this off?

Hello ISGG,
The FRITZ!Box sends the call signal to the stored telephone number. If the same telephone numbers are stored on the 3 computers, all telephones and therefore all TAPICall installations respond to the call. Unfortunately, switching off is only possible if you deactivate the opening of contacts.
