Number resolution TC 3.1.86 Outlook, 2003

I use TC 3.1.86 with Outlook 2003 and Exchange Server 2003.
Outlook contacts are in public folder, this is selected in TC as contacts folder.

Despite the telephone number being created and entered in the correct format, TC does not recognise the caller. The remote station contact remains empty in the call list. If you then select Resolve again, the contact is recognised, but (Fax Business) is always displayed as the entry type, even if the recognised number was not entered in this contact field.

Does anyone have any idea what could be causing this?

Thank you very much !

Hello Carsten,

There can be many reasons for this. First of all, I would suggest synchronising the TAPICall- replication database:

  • TAPICall-menu -> Other functions -> Database-synchronisation
  • Tick the box at the bottom left of the dialogue, select all folders and confirm with OK

If this does not help, the database can also be completely rebuilt. To do this, delete the following file (he path may differ depending on the language or installation-partition):

(unter Win2000 / XP) C:Documents and settingsApplication dataTAPICallTAPICall_.mdb
(unter Vista / Windows Seven) C:UsersAppDataTAPICallTAPICall_.mdb

Please note that the file can only be deleted while TAPICall is not running. It will be recreated the next time the programme is started. However, you will then have to repeat the selection of the search folders.

If this still doesn't help, please contact us again so that we can get to the root of the problem with the protocolling.

Best regards
Johannes Franke
